Tommy Mister likes Illinois

by 2014 Football Class

2014 athlete/dual-threat quarterback Tommy Mister has received two offers in his recruitment, with both being major offers from Notre Dame and Illinois. Mister likes the Fighting Illini, and the Richards HS star has received interest from other major programs. He is a legitimate dual-threat QB prospects and has vastly improved to the point where he is a quality, three-star prospect who can make the jump to QB. His rise as a recruit in recent months has been tremendous, and the offers from ND and Illinois are a testament to this.

Tommy Mister has also received interest from Oregon, Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue, Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Those are some of the best programs in the entire country, and the Oak Lawn, Illinois recruit has become a hot recruit, especially among Big Ten teams.

He is an extremely athletic quarterback with absolutely tantalizing upside. Not only is Tommy Mister athletic, but he is also a hard worker and is an absolute playmaker. The problem is that his technique is poor- especially his footwork- and needs to be refined, but Mister is one of those players who is truly a threat to score whenever he touches the ball. With some added tooling by a good QB coach, he can become a starter at the collegiate level.

The 6’1″, 185 pound QB is heading to South Bend next week, and it is interesting to note that, unsurprisingly, the fast-rising recruit received his first offer from Notre Dame; that doesn’t happen very often. He is a “Fighting” prospect by both teams, and hopefully Tommy Mister continues to develop and impress and pick up early offers. This is one QB recruit to watch going forward.
