Florida State has become the latest offer for 2014 quarterbak Deshaun Watson who is a rising recruit from Gainesville, Georgia and is 6’3″, 175 pounds. He is currently committed to the Clemson Tigers, but that hasn’t stopped FSU from offerig him.
Deshaun Watson has also received offers from Auburn, Ohio State, N.C. State, UCF, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt.
The Clemson commit had a high amount of interest in the Seminoles and is planning on visiting the school in the future. Watson, the AAA POY ran for over 1,000 rushing yards with 41 touchdown passes and about a 61 completion percentage for Gainesville High.
Recruited by Chad Morris to Clemson, Watson is one of the better 2014 dual-threat quarterbacks with a 4.65 forty time. Watson is a high-end three-star recruit who is above-average in all facets of the game and should earn a fourth star after his junior season. It will be interesting to see how hard Jimbo Fisher goes after a player who is already commited to an ACC program. It seems like Watson is keeping his options open, and there is a chance that the ‘Noles can bring Watson to Tallahasse.
