Basketball Recruiting: James Young Will Decide In November

Class Of 2013 prospect James Young, is expected to announce his decision in November, according to  Zagsblog.

Marlon Williamson sat down with Sny.tv and confirmed that Young is likely to decide sometime in November.

James Young’s top four consists of Kentucky, Michigan State, Arizona and Kansas. James Young also has admitted in the past, that Kentucky was, and still is, his favorite.

James Young plays shooting guard, and he is one of the most explosive players in the Class of 2013.

Young is a fantastic scorer and he knows how to play the game of basketball, as his basketball IQ is off the charts. He still has plenty of room to improve, but you can definitely mark him as one of the elite shooting guards in the Class of 2013. Young also has the ability to play small forward at times.

There really aren’t many blemishes to his game, but he still needs to improve his ball-handling skills. Sometimes he tends to play reckless in transition, so that will have to improve.

James Young is a consensus top 10 guy, according to many recruiting services, so that’s why he has top schools after him. As he winds down his recruitment, Kentucky seems to be in the best shape. John Calipari is the best recruiter in college basketball, so that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Arizona was also a late addition, as they move up his list, but Kentucky is the clear-cut favorite, as of now. Michigan State is also his hometown school, so watch out for them as well.
