As the 2013 basketball class starts to take shape, we now are able to determine the better players in the class. The top two are unanimous. Jabari Parker and Julius Randle are at the top. I’m here to give cases for both players, and have a say of who I think deserves the number one spot in the 2013 basketball class.
Let’s take a look at their games. Julius Randle is a monster in the paint, and is fearless of any opposing defender. I don’t think there is anyone that is more dominant than him.
A couple of weeks ago, Julius Randle participated in the Elite 24 all-star game in Miami, and didn’t disappoint. Not only did he have an impressive showing during the game, he also impressed us by dominating the slam-dunk competition.
Jabari Parker is almost a complete opposite. Parker has been labeled as “the best high-school player since LeBron James”. That’s likely an overstatement, but he is still a very talented and promising prospect. He is a forward that has range and he can dominate the paint. Think of a Michael Kidd-Gilchrist that can shoot. Parker is the complete package, and he’ll be very hard to handle.
Based solely on my opinion, I feel that Julius Randle is more intriguing. Big men are hard to find these days. He has a better chance to dominate the college landscape. He should have a Jared Sullinger-like impact, when he finally steps foot in the college game. Let us know in the comment section about who you think deserves the top spot.
