2014 defensive tackle Andrew Brown unofficially visited the North Carolina Tar Heels on March 9th. He has offers from twenty-nine teams.
The teams to have offered at him include: Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Auburn, Cincinnati, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Maryland, Miami (FL), North Carolina State, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Florida, Syracuse, Tennessee, and USC.
On February 10th, Brown named the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Clemson Tigers, the Florida Gators, the Michigan Wolverines, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Virginia Cavaliers, the Virginia Tech Hokies, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, and the West Virginia Mountaineers as his Top 10 finalists.
Brown is a 6’4″, 282 pound defensive tackle from Chesapeake, Virginia. He is currently a junior at Oscar Smith High School.
The Oscar Smith Tigers made it to the Class 6 Virginia State Playoffs. They lost to Ocean Lakes High School, 14-10, in their quarterfinal game at the Virginia Beach SportsPlex.
Brown was named first-team All-American by 247Sports on February 10th.
The five-star recruit is currently ranked 2nd in the state of Virginia, 1st among defensive tackles, and 4th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
