Football Recruiting: Elijah Hood Visits North Carolina


2014 running back/inside linebacker Elijah Hood unofficially visited the North Carolina Tar Heels on March 9th.

Hood has offers from eighteen teams. The teams to have offered at him include: Notre Dame, Clemson, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Duke, East Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Stanford, USC, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

It is projected that Hood is heavily interested in the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from the Maryland Terrapins and the Tennessee Volunteers.

Hood is a 5’11″, 214 pound from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is currently a junior at Charlotte Catholic High School.

The Charlotte Catholic Cougars made it to the state championship of the Class 3AA North Carolina State Playoffs. In the state championship, they lost to Northern Guilford High School, 64-26.

As a junior in 2012, Hood ran for 3,309 yards on 278 carries and 48 touchdowns.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 6th in the state of North Carolina, 9th among athletes, and 106th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
