Football Recruiting: Tony Upchurch Commits to LSU

2014 wide receiver Tony Upchurch verbally committed to the LSU Tigers on March 15th. Upchurch is the seventh verbal for the Tigers from the Class of 2014.

The LSU Tigers were the only team to have offered at Upchurch to this point, but he was also receiving interest from three other teams.

The Dawson Eagles made it to the Conference 4A Division 1 Texas State Playoffs.

As a junior in 2012, Upchurch caught 46 passes for 1,006 yards and twelve touchdowns. He also ran for 318 yards on twenty-nine carries and one touchdown.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 50th in the state of Texas and 46th among wide receivers by 247Sports.
