2014 four-star dual-threat quarterback Jalen Greene received an offer from the Boise State Broncos yesterday, and this was a huge moment in Greene’s recruitment as it is his first offer. Boise State is also one of three teams that Greene is keying in on closely early won, with the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils being the other two.
Greene has received interest from the Florida Gators, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Oregon Ducks, Washington State Cougars, Washington Huskies, UCLA Bruins, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Utah Utes, and USC Trojans. Interest from schools such as Oregon, USC, and Florida is huge for Greene, and it will be interesting to see which school joins in and offers next. Greene is a very talented QB, and it is important to keep a close eye on the two schools in Arizona in his recruitment going forward.
Although UCLA hasn’t offered, they seem interested since Greene attended junior day in Westwood back in February. He also camped there in the summer and unofficially visited the Bruins in early fall, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bruins become one of the first teams to extend an offer to one of the top 40 recruits in the state of California.
Ranked by 247Sports as one of the top ten dual-threat QBs in the nation, Greene had 35 total touchdowns last season for Junipero Serra- he more than doubled his total as a sophomore. Greene tossed 2,500 passing yard and dashed for an outstanding 1,100 yards, and he is easily one of the best quarterbacks in the state. The 6’3″, 195 pound quarterback should see his offers explode soon.
