Maryland Football Recruiting: N.C. State offers Juwann Winfree

2014 four-star athlete Juwann Winfree is one of the top ten recruits in the state of New Jersey, and he continues to see the offers pour in as the North Carolina State Wolfpack extended Winfree an offer yesterday to push his list of offers to 14. But Winfree would reportedly like to see an offer from the Maryland Terrapins, as he is high on the Big Ten-bound school just to the south.

Juwann Winfree has offers from the Cincinnati Bearcats, South Carolina Gamecocks, Syracuse Orange, Boston College Eagles, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Pittsburgh Panthers, West Virginia Mountaineers, Michigan Wolverines, Kansas Jayhawks, Georgia Bulldogs, Old Dominion, and UMass. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Notre Dame extend Winfree an offer at some point before the summer.

The 6’2″, 18o pound Dwight Morrow High standout is entrenched as one of the top 30 athletes in the 2014 class, and he is clearly one of the top 300 prospects as well. 247Sports views Winfree as a top 250 recruit and a top 25 athlete in this class.

He has now received three offers in the month of March, as the Bulldogs and Jayhawks offered Winfree very early in the month. Expect more offers to come in for Winfree, and I am keeping a close eye on the Fighting Irish in April to see if they amp up their interest in the four-star recruit.
