2014 East Lake wide receiver Artavis Scott is one of the most heavily recruited players in the state of Florida, and schools such as Florida State, Florida, Miami, USF, and UCF have shown plenty of interest in the top 100 recruit. Yesterday, Scott took an unofficial visit to Orlando to check out the UCF Knights campus, and it is his first visit since attending junior days with the Louisville Cardinals and Clemson Tigers.
Artavis Scott is taking a close look at the Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, South Florida Bulls, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Miami Hurricanes, and Oklahoma Sooners. He also has offers from Tennessee, UCF, Arkansas, Auburn, Indiana, Iowa State, N.C. State, Oregon, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Oregon, Mississippi State, Georgia, Clemson, Cincinnati, Louisville, and South Carolina.
That’s a ton of major interest, but Scott seems to be focusing on the upper-echelon programs and schools in the state of Florida. He is one of the top ten recruits in the state, and he is a consensus top 15 wide receiver overall. At 5’10” and 175 pounds, Scott may not be the biggest wide receiver, but he is clearly one of the most talented.
Last season, Scott caught 64 passes for 995 yards and ten touchdowns, but that was actually less productive than his sophomore season at East Lake. Scott is one of the Michigan Wolverines top targets.
