Louisville Football Recruiting: Michael Sawyers to attend Auburn junior day

2014 three-star DT/OG recruit Michael Sawyers is set to attend junior day with the Auburn Tigers today, per his timeline on 247Sports. The Nashsville recruit is a solid three-star prospect who can play on the interior of the trenches on either offense or defense, but he projects best at the defensive tackles position.

Sawyers is reportedly high on the Louisville Cardinals, Mississippi Rebels, in-state Vanderbilt Commodores, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He attended Georgia Tech’s junior day earlier this month, and it will be interesting to see if Auburn joins those four schools as teams Sawyers is looking at closely following today’s junior day.

The Arizona State Sun Devils, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Kentucky Wildcats, Washington State Cougars, Missouri Tigers, and Memphis Tigers are programs that have also offered Sawyers, who is ranked by the 247Composite as exactly the 450th best recruit in the 2014 class.

The 6’2″, 285 pound Ensworth High standout is nestled in as one of the top ten recruits in the state of Tennessee, and the 247Composite also has him ranked as the 31st defensive tackle in the nation. Michael Sawyers is a prospect who is receiving some more national attention, and he has a decent list of offers. The four teams he is high on all have a solid shot, and it will be interesting to see if Auburn enters the picture with an offer at junior day. Overall, this is a pretty big visit for the three-star DT/OG.
