Kansas Football Recruiting: Tommy Mister Names Iowa State His Favorite

On March 30th, 2014 athlete Tommy Mister received an offered from the Kansas Jayhawks, but he named a different Big 12 team his favorite. That Big 12 team was the Iowa State Cyclones.

The Oak Lawn, Illinois native has offers from the Iowa State Cyclones, Ball State Cardinals, Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Kansas Jayhawks, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Western Michigan Broncos.

Mister is a 6’2″, 185 pound quarterback/running back from Oak Lawn, Illinois. He played this past season at H.L. Richards High School.

He started his junior season at quarterback, but moved to running back after returning from an injury.

Coach Tony Sheehan of Richards has said that the move to running back was because of how his replacement, sophomore Hasan Muhammed-Rogers, played during his absence.

Richards made it to the quarterfinals of the Class 6A Illinois State Playoffs, but will be without Mister next season.

This is because Mister transferred to St. Rita High School over winter break and started school at St. Rita on January 6th.

As a running back this past season, Tommy Mister ran for 1,076 yards on 137 carries and 15 touchdowns.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 20th in the state of Illinois and 56th among athletes by 247Sports.
