2014 solid three-star pass rusher Richard Yeargin III has a number of major offers, and he received an SEC offer today from the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The weak-side defensive end and outside linebacker recruit from the prestigious University School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is high on the Florida Gators, Arkansas Razorbacks, Clemson Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, UCLA Bruins, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Florida State Seminoles, and even the Marshall Thundering Herd.
Yeargin also holds offers from the Louisville Cardinals, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Purdue Boilermakers, Kentucky Wildcats, Boston College Eagles, West Virginia Mountaineers, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Mississippi Rebels, Wisconsin Badgers, Vanderbilt Commodores, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and South Carolina Gamecocks.
That’s quite the list of offers, and the 461st-ranked recruit in the 247Composite also has plenty of major interest to boot. Although Mississippi State is not expected to be a factor in his recruitment, the Bulldogs will give Yeargin another SEC offer to think about. The 6’4″, 225 pound pass rusher is ranked 34st in the nation among OLBs by the 247Composite, and he also checks in at 66th among recruits in the state of Florida.
He took one visit in March, and that was a trip to Gainesville to check out the Florida Gators on the 29th. The heavily contested recruit enjoyed his visit at Florida, and if I had to make a recruiting prediction right now I would tab the Gators as the team to beat.
