Florida State Recruiting: FanSided 150 LB Kain Daub Commits to Seminoles

Inside linebacker Kain Daub, the 23rd ranked player on the FanSided 150, has verbally pledged to play for Jimbo Fisher and the Florida State Seminoles. Daub is in Tallahassee this weekend for his third FSU visit of 2013 and 2nd in the last two weeks. In fact, his only non-FSU visit of 2013 was when he attended the Miami Hurricane’s Junior Day.

The 6’3″ 240 pound Jacksonville native had quite the junior year, earning him offers to both the Under Armour and Army All American games. Along with those offers, he held scholarship offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Miami, UCLA and a slew of other top notch programs.

Kain had originally committed to play for Les Miles over the summer of 2013 but withdrew that commitment in early November, interestingly, after being offered by USC. Despite that, it never looked like Daub would be leaving the south.

Daub is rated as a five star player and the top linebacker in the country by Scout. He’s also a five star recruit according to 247Sports and a four star by Rivals. Those rankings make him a top 3 linebacker on the FanSided 150 and the top recruit in the Seminole’s 2014 recruiting class. He joins fellow FS150 recruit Demarcus Christmas on their list of commitments.
