2014 four-star inside linebacker Shaun Hamilton is one of the top recruits in the country, and he tweeted out that the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, and Tennessee Volunteers have made his final three. Hamilton has been on fire lately, and he will continue to rise up recruiting rankings and currently checks in at 221st overall in the rankings done by 247Sports. The 247Composite, however, only has him at 331st.
Auburn is the team that looks to be in the best shape to land Shaun Hamilton, but the other two SEC finalists aren’t underdogs at all in the race for Hamilton’s signature. The Montgomery, Alabama star recruit has his decision set for the 17th of April, and you can bet his many visits to in-state powers Alabama and Auburn will be closely dissected.
The 6’1″, 224 pound Carver High star also received offers from the USC Trojans, Arizona State Sun Devils, Duke Blue Devils, Miami Hurricanes, Mississippi Rebels, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Florida State Seminoles, West Virginia Mountaineers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Vanderbilt Commodores in his recruitment.
Shaun Hamilton eliminated several major programs in his recruitment, including some big programs in the region. One of the top 15 inside linebacker recruits in the country and one of the top 15 prospects in the state of Alabama, Hamilton definitely deserves all four stars and has terrific speed, strength, and raw athletic ability. Last season, he recorded 81 tackles and made some solid plays for Carver. Any of those three teams could feasibly land Hamilton, and he visited all three of those schools in March.
