2014 four-star La Miranda, California wide receiver recruit Dallis Todd received an offer from the Washington State Cougars yesterday to send his offers total to 29. The Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas A&M Aggies, and Oklahoma Sooners are the three schools that Todd is reportedly the most interested in, and those three elite programs certainly fit the caliber of Todd. He is ranked by the 247Composite as the 112th-best player in the nation and is the 90th player in 247Sports’s rankings, but Todd is ranked 202nd by Rivals.com and just barely missed our FanSided150.
Wherever he is ranked, Todd is easily a four-star prospect and a recruit who deserves all of his almost-3o offers. He has also received offers in his recruitment from the Arizona Wildcats, Miami Hurricanes, Arizona State Sun Devils, Louisville Cardinals, Iowa State Cyclones, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Missouri Tigers, Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oregon State Beavers, West Virginia Mountaineers, Syracuse Orange, Utah Utes, Washington Huskies, Mississippi Rebels, Vanderbilt Commodores, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and Tennessee Volunteers. Alabama, USC, and Michigan are three storied programs with significant interest who could offer the top 200 prospect as well.
Todd has amazing size at 6’5″, 210 pounds, and the La Miranda High star is ranked by the 247Composite as one of the top 15 wide receiver recruits in the nation and one of the top ten recruits in the state of California overall. He has a big visit lined up to Norman next week, and the Sooners have a great chance at impressing a recruit who is already impressed with their program.
Last season, he affirmed himself as one of the elite players in his region of the state by hauling in 72 passes for over 1,000 yards and an even ten touchdowns. Those are great numbers across the board, and they have helped him earn offers like the one he received from Washington State yesterday.
Ohio State has recently entered the forefront for Todd, because it used to be just Texas A&M and Oklahoma in the heavy running for his services. The Sooners are in a great position to have an influential visit next week, so keep close tabs on what goes on there. The Buckeyes recently made an impression on him, so we’ll see if the Sooners can increase their own standing.
