2014 outside linebacker Rashaan Evans has been very busy as of late. He unofficially visited the Auburn Tigers last Thursday and hosted coaches from the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday.
This continued Wednesday as Jeff Ulbrich from the UCLA Bruins made a trip across the country to Auburn, Alabama to visit Evans.
Evans has received plenty of interest from major programs, but seems to only be interested in five teams. These teams are the Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers, and UCLA Bruins.
According the 247Sports Crystal Ball, the insiders and reporters all predict that the Auburn Tigers will land the four-star recruit.
Even Christopher Nee, FSU insider, predicts Auburn to get him.
For the four teams behind the Tigers in the race for Rashaan Evans, the road will be long and hard.
Right now, the only teams that can closely rival the Tigers are Tennessee and Georgia. That is because they are in the SEC. Florida State and UCLA will have a much harder time trying to recruit Evans.
UCLA plays in the Pac-12 which can been seen as a weaker conference compared to the SEC. One thing the Bruins could do is use the new playoff system to help them now. If they can convince Evans that they can be one of the four playoff teams, they could surprise many people.
However, Evans does live in Auburn, Alabama and knows the traditions that surround the Auburn Tigers.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 10th in the state of Alabama and 25th among outside linebackers by 247Sports.
