2014 St. Thomas Aquinas star running back Madre London picked up two offers yesterday from the Purdue Boilermakers and Memphis Tigers, and London continues to see his stock rise this spring. The three-star RB from Fort Lauderdale stars at one of the most prestigious high schools in the country, and London is a talented player himself as the 101st-ranked running back in the 247Composite. A top South Carolina Gamecocks target, London reportedly likes the SEC powerhouse and is also interested in receiving a big SEC offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The Cincinnati Bearcats, Boston College Eagles, North Carolina Tar Heels, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Kansas Jayhawks, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and Illinois Fighting Illini are other programs to have offered London. He has also received interest from storied programs like Alabama, Texas, and Oregon, so London is definitely somebody to keep close eyes on.
Ranked by the 247Composite as the 171st-best recruit in the state of Florida, Madre London runs a 4.56 forty and has good size at 6’1″, 205 pounds. Last year, London ran for 430 yards on 85 carries for five touchdowns and has starred at a few camps this offseason. London possesses intriguing upside, and that’s why coaches like Arkansas’s Jim Chaney have been checking in with London.
Although Memphis isn’t a major offer, it’s always great to add another offer, and the offer from Purdue is something to celebrate about. The Big Ten program has now offered six running backs with four-star Durham recruit Donte Thomas-Williams (ranked 11th at the position by the 247Composite) being the top target.
