Big Ten Football Recruiting: Ermon Lane Receives Offers From Minnesota and Indiana

2014 wide receiver Ermon Lane saw a couple offers come through the door on Monday. However, none were bigger than the two Big Ten offers from the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Indiana Hoosiers.

Lane is in the Top 5 for both wide receivers and Florida recruits. He is also ranked 27th in the Fansided150 2014 Football Rankings.

He has received offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, Miami Hurricanes, Arkansas Razorbacks, Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, Duke Blue Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Indiana Hoosiers, Louisville Cardinals, LSU Tigers, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Ole Miss Rebels, Pittsburgh Panthers, SMU Mustangs, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas Tech Red Riaders, UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

The teams that Lane is heavily interested in are Alabama, Florida, and Miami (FL).

Although, many seem to think that Alabama and Miami are towards the head of the pack.

Out of eight predictions, the 247 Sports Crystal Ball currently has the Crimson Tide and the Canes as a deadlock to land the 2014 recruit.

According to 247 Sports’ skills ratings, Lane’s best skill is easily his size (rated 9). He is a 6’3″ wide receiver with a ton of length.

When looking at the film from 2012, Lane is a nice deep threat. He uses his length to go up and grab the ball even if he has a defender draped all over him.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 4th in the state of Florida, 2nd among wide receivers, and 29th among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
