Kaaya is ranked just outside the Top 50 in the state of California and the Top 25 pro-style quarterbacks. He is also ranked 536th among all 2014 recruits in the 247 Sports Composite rankings.

The West Hills, California native had been receiving interest from five schools, but only had offers from two of them.

The only two teams to have offered at him were the Miami Hurricanes and the San Diego State Aztecs.

On May 11th, Kaaya visited San Diego State along with fourteen other 2014 recruits.

In 2012, he completed 126 out of 186 passes and threw for 1,875 yards. He recorded thirteen touchdowns compared to two interceptions.

Kaaya became the seventh recruit to commit to the Hurricanes thus far. After gaining the commitment of Kaaya, Miami jumped into the Top 10 in 247 Sports’ Football Recruiting Team Rankings (as of 1:00 p.m.).

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 51st in the state of California and 26th among pro-style quarterbacks by 247Sports.
