Baylor Football Recruiting: James David Names Bears as Leader

On Monday, 2014 inside linebacker James David named the Baylor Bears as his leader. The Bears are just one of six teams to have offered at the Texas native and one of three Big 12 schools in his unofficial top three.

The other teams to have offered at David are the Oklahoma Sooners, TCU Horned Frogs, Houston Cougars, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Washington Huskies.

Jim Gush and Jeff Lebby are reportedly recruiting David to the Baylor Bears. A commitment from James David would be a huge plus for the Bears. They already have eleven commitments from the Class of 2014 and all of them are from the state of Texas.

Right now, the 247 Sports Crystal Ball currently has the Bears as the 100% predicted spot to land the 2014 recruit. The 2014 ILB has also visited Baylor quite a bit and was in attendance for their Spring Game this spring.

In 2013, James David recorded a total of 118 tackles.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 52nd in the state of Texas and 21st among inside linebackers by 247Sports.
