Texas A&M Football Recruiting: Aggies Land Kyle Allen

He announced his top five last Tuesday via Twitter, and now 2014 pro-style quarterback Kyle Allen has announced his commitment. Allen decided to commit to the Texas A&M Aggies today. He chose the Aggies over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma State Cowboys, and UCLA Bruins. He is also the 76th overall recruit on the FanSided150 Class of 2014 Football Rankings.

Kyle Allen’s commitment is Texas A&M’s 12th from the Class of 2014.

After Allen’s announcement to commit, the Aggies jumped in the 247 2014 Football Recruiting Team Rankings from 3rd to 1st. They leaped Tennessee and Michigan.

Just like it was when he announced his top five, Texas A&M is a shocker. They were able to beat out fellow SEC school Alabama in order to get into the top five and now have beaten programs such as ND and tOSU to gain Kyle Allen’s commitment.

Overall, Allen is a very skilled quarterback prospect. He has intangibles, accuracy, and pocket presence. Although, his best skill is his delivery.

Kyle Allen was scheduled to unofficially visit Notre Dame and Ohio State later this month, and we will see if he continues on those visits.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 1st in the state of Arizona, 4th among pro-style quarterbacks, and 47th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
