2014 three-star Tucker, Georgia center Jabari Craig added two Big Six offers to his list yesterday from the Marquette Golden Eagles and the Texas A&M Aggies. This puts Craig’s offer list up to 17, as he also received an offer earlier this month from the USC Trojans a day after unofficially visiting USC and the rival UCLA Bruins. UCLA, however, has yet to offer Craig, and it doesn’t seem like they have significant interest in the three-star center either.
Craig also holds offers from the Purdue Boilermakers, Arizona Wildcats, Kansas State Wildcats, Auburn Tigers, New Mexico Lobos, Georgia Bulldogs, Clemson Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, LSU Tigers, Memphis Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The 6’10″, 216 pound Pangos All-American camp attendee is ranked by the 247Composite as the 165th-best recruit and eighth-best center in the nation, and he also checks in as the 11th-best prospect in the state of Georgia. Jabari Craig is an excellent defensive player, as he forces a lot of missed shots and is an excellent rebounder with plenty of length. Although he continues to make strides on offense, he still needs to become a more refined offensive player.
Purdue is the school going hardest after Craig, and it seems like the interest is mutual. The Boilermakers are predicted by one expert on 247Sports to land Craig, and we’ll see how the offers from Marquette and Texas A&M change things. Buzz Williams is an excellent coach and recruiter, so I am definitely keeping my eyes peeled on Marquette.
