The Ohio State Buckeyes landed a solid wide receiver from the class of 2014 on Sunday as Terry McLaurin chose to commit to Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes. McLaurin became the thirteenth commitment from the Class of 2014 for OSU. He is also one of the Top 10 recruits in the state of Indiana.
Ohio State was fully expected to land McLaurin’s signature, and Urban Meyer delivered yet again.
The Buckeyes got his commitment over other offers from the Boston College Eagles, Cincinnati Bearcats, Indiana Hoosiers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Missouri Tigers, and Purdue Boilermakers.
The 247 Sports Crystal Ball had the Buckeyes as the 100% predicted spot to land the 2014 recruit.
According to 247 Sports, McLaurin had this to say about playing his college career at OSU:
“Having a chance to play for Urban Meyer, a legend, he’s going to go down as one of the best in college football history. He has a receiver background and knows what it takes to be an elite receiver not only on the collegiate level but next level as well.”
As a sophomore in 2012, Terry McLaurin recorded 820 receiving yards and twelve touchdowns on 33 receptions. He also had 298 rushing yards and two touchdowns on sixteen attempts along with two punt returns for touchdowns.
The three-star recruit is currently ranked 6th in the state of Indiana and 49th among wide receiver by 247Sports.
