UCLA Football Recruiting: Bruins host CeCe Jefferson

Elite 2015 strong-side defensive end CeCe Jefferson is in Los Angeles, and the UCLA Bruins have a huge chance at impressing a five-star recruit with a strong unofficial visit today, according to 247Sports. UCLA isn’t quite in the picture right now with Jefferson looking at bigger schools, but Jim Mora Jr. has shown that he can recruit with the big boys and could put UCLA in a position to be in the mix for a rising junior who lives on the other side of the country. After today’s visit to UCLA, Jefferson will camp tomorrow with the USC Trojans, and it is almost impossible envisioning Jefferson coming away without an offer from the Trojans. He already blew away the Florida Gators coaching staff with an incredible camp performance earlier this month, and Jefferson has interest in USC. Expect the Trojans to join the rival Bruins and extend an offer to the five-star DE.

CeCe Jefferson is reportedly leaning towards the Alabama Crimson Tide, but my very early prediction would be the Florida Gators given their presence as the in-state program. Alabama is always tough to beat out, and other schools right in the mix are the Louisville Cardinals and another in-state program in the Florida State Seminoles.

Even though he just completed his sophomore year, Jefferson already has a plethora of offers, and it is easy to see why he is already ranked by 247Sports as the third-best SDE in the country and the second-best recruit in the state of Florida. The 6’2″, 250 pound Baker County Senior star was just extraordinary last season with 28 tackles for loss and 15 sacks. Today’s visit to UCLA will be key for the Bruins, but I think tomorrow’s camp at USC will be bigger for Jefferson. Honestly, there is no way he leaves L.A. without an offer from the Trojans.
