Washington Football Recruiting: Huskies lead for Claudeson Pelon

The Washington Huskies are now the leaders for one of the top JUCO prospects in the country in four-star strong-side defensive end Claudeson Pelon, according to 247Sports. It’s not a surprise to see that Pelon is favoring the Huskies, because it seems like he has been leaning towards Washington for some time. Pelon is the best JUCO recruit in the state of Arizona (from Mesa), and he is also the top SDE among JUCO prospects. According to the 247Composite, Pelon is the seventh-best JUCO recruit overall, and he would certainly be a huge addition on the defensive line for Washington.

The Huskies are now the clear favorites to land Pelon, so it will be interesting to see if he decides to pull the trigger soon. Tosh Lupoi is recruiting him, so you know the Huskies are in a great position to land Pelon, since Lupoi is going after a top JUCO DL. Washington should be able to land a commitment from Pelon, but it will be interesting to see if any other schools can pique his interest before then.

Pelon also holds offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, California Golden Bears, Baylor Bears, Arizona Wildcats, USC Trojans, Indiana Hoosiers, Nebraska Cornhuskers (they seem to be going hard after him), Florida State Seminoles, Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas Jayhawks (they do love their JUCO prospects), Utah Utes, Kansas State Wildcats, and Wisconsin Badgers (darkhorse).
