Football Recruiting: Trevion Thompson Top Six, Clemson Still Leading?

2014 Durham, North Carolina wide receiver Trevion Thompson is comfortably slotted in as one of the top 100 recruits in the country (60th on the Fansided150 Class of 2014 Football Recruiting Rankings), and the four-star wide receiver has a new top six, according to 247 Sports.

The Clemson Tigers unsurprisingly made the top six cut, and they were joined by the Ohio State Buckeyes, North Carolina Tar Heels, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Florida State Seminoles, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

All eighteen experts on 247 Sports tab Clemson as the team to land a commitment from Thompson. Its weird to think Clemson an 100%  predicted winner over an elite program like Ohio State.

It is also hard to rule out a program such as Ohio State, but North Carolina and North Carolina State might be more of a threat to Clemson than OSU.

Trevion Thompson is a well-rounded wide receiver with skills that any college program would want. He is a receiver that has size, hands, and ball skills, but will not rack up many yards after the catch.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 5th in the state of North Carolina, 8th among wide receivers, and 81st nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
