The Northwestern Wildcats landed a solid small forward from the class of 2014 on July 4th, as Victor Law made the call and committed to the Wildcats. Law is the 4th best recruit from the state of Illinois and was one of the most coveted recruits from the city of Chicago.
The other teams that offered at Law, but did not get his commitment were the Creighton Bluejays, Dayton Flyers, DePaul Blue Demons, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Harvard Crimson, Illinois Fighting Illini, Providence Friars, Vanderbilt Commodores, VCU Rams, Virginia Tech Hokies, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Xavier Musketeers.
Law is a very quality pickup for the Northwestern Wildcats because he can contribute and help the team right away from day one next season.
He is an athletic rebounding defender who can pass the ball effectively. Offensively, Law can score and finish at the rim, but needs to develop his jumper a little bit at the college level.
However, I bet the Wildcats would love to have his rebounding ability right away from day one next season because they were last in the Big Ten in rebounds per game last year.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 4th in the state of Illinois, 19th among small forwards, and 73rd among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
