Tennessee Football Recruiting: Vols Host Marshon Lattimore

2014 cornerback Marshon Lattimore is one of the more highly-coveted Ohio recruits in the 2014 class, and the Tennessee Volunteers had a chance to impress the four-star wide receiver during an unofficial visit on Thursday. Lattimore is among the top 5 cornerbacks from the 2014 class and is ranked 28th on the FanSided150 Class of 2014 Football Rankings.

So far, the Cleveland, Ohio native has received offers from the Kentucky Wildcats, Ohio State Buckeyes, Alabama Crimson Tide, Cincinnati Bearcats, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Louisville Cardinals, Maryland Terrapins, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tennessee Volunteers, Toledo Rockets, UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

This weekend’s visit from Marshon Lattimore is huge for the Tennessee Volunteers. That is because Lattimore is heavily interested in Kentucky and Ohio State.

However, the recruiting experts are predicting that Marshon Lattimore will verbally commit to the Buckeyes.

The 247 Sports Crystal Ball currently has them as the 100% predicted spot to land the 2014 recruit.

The 6’0″, 175 pound Ohio native is a very skilled cornerback. He has good length, reactive quickness, ball skills, and instincts. His only “weaknesses” are his tackling ability and recovery speed.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 2nd  in the state of Ohio, 4th among cornerbacks, and 34th  among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
