Auburn Football Recruiting: Tigers Host Raekwon McMillan

While hosting one of the nation’s Top 10 JUCO recruits this weekend, the Auburn Tigers also had the chance to impress one of the Top 15 high school recruits as 2014 inside linebacker Raekwon McMillan unofficially visited the Tigers this weekend. On top of being the best ranked inside linebacker, McMillan is ranked 12th on the FanSided150 Class of 2014 Football Rankings.

McMillan has received a lot of offers, but is heavily interested in the Ohio State Buckeyes, Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, and USC Trojans.

Many recruiting experts are predicting the Hinesville, GA native to commit to either Ohio State, Bama, or Clemson. However, 23 out of the 28 recruiting experts on the 247 Sports Crystal Ball have McMillan committing to Ohio State over both Alabama and Clemson.

Raekwon McMillan would be an amazing pickup for any Division I program. At 6’2″, 242 pounds, he has the size that many programs desire and is a very skilled tackler. He also contains great athleticism, instincts, and striking ability.

The only things he would need to “fine tune” at the college level would be his lateral movement and how he plays in space.

The five-star recruit is currently ranked 2nd  in the state of Georgia, 1st among inside linebackers, and 15th among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
