Arizona Football Recruiting: Wildcats Host Jalen Brown

While gaining five commitments this weekend, the Arizona Wildcats were also hosting one of the Top 10 recruits from the state of Arizona as 2014 wide receiver Jalen Brown unofficially visited the Wildcats on Saturday. Brown is also ranked 233rd on the 247Sports 2014 Football Rankings.

So far, Brown has received a ton of notable offers, but is heavily interested in the Oregon State Beavers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Wisconsin Badgers, Oregon Ducks, Arizona Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, and Vanderbilt Commodores.

Right now, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin are the two predicted favorites to land the Arizona prospect. Out of the two, the Commodores are the more favored team to land Brown’s verbal.

Jalen Brown is a very skilled wide receiver and has very good hands as well as ball skills. Brown’s ball skills are so good that he can locate and catch the ball by extending his arms and can sometimes locate the ball during the middle of a jump.

On top of his hands and ball skills, Jalen Brown is also quite agile. This agility can been seen in his juke moves.

His top end speed might not be the fastest of the receivers in the 2014 class, however, the Phoenix native’s juke moves are among the quickest in the class.

Brown will visit Vanderbilt next weekend and has more visits scheduled with Oregon, Ohio State, Oregon, and Oregon State set for September and October.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 7th in the state of Arizona, 28th among wide receivers, and 233rd nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
