The Louisville Cardinals extended an offer to one of the top prospects from the Class of 2015 in five-star power forward Ivan Rabb on Friday. Rabb is the top ranked 2015 recruit from the state of California and is currently ranked in the Top 5 among all 2015 recruits by 247 Sports.
So far, the Oakland, CA native has received offers from the Arizona Wildcats, California Golden Bears, Connecticut Huskies, Kansas Jayhawks, North Carolina State Wolfpack, North Carolina Tar Heels, Oregon Ducks, and UNLV Runnin’ Rebels.
The three teams that are receiving the most interest from Rabb are Arizona, California, and Duke. However, the Blue Devils have not extended him an offer at this point.
Ivan Rabb is a very skilled high school forward and can work the baseline like a magician.
Standing at 6’10”, Rabb shows great length on the basketball court and can use it in a number of ways. Some of the ways he uses his length is to size up opponents in the post or to block shots on the other end.
The young PF works almost exclusively in the post, but does it effectively. He can either size up opponents for a pretty hook shot, step back for a jumper, or throw down the basketball with a vicious two-hand jam.
This past season, Ivan Rabb averaged 25 points per game, 13 rebounds per game, and 8 blocks per game.
The five-star recruit is currently ranked 1st in the state of California, 2nd among power forwards, and 4th nationally among 2015 high school recruits by 247Sports.
