The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets landed a solid point guard from the class of 2014 on Wednesday, as Tadric Jackson made the call and committed to the Yellow Jackets. Jackson is one of the top 5 recruits from the state of Georgia.
The other teams that offered at Jackson, but did not get his commitment were the Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, DePaul Blue Demons, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, Memphis Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Ole Miss Rebels, Purdue Boilermakers, South Carolina Gamecocks, St. John’s Red Storm, Tennessee Volunteers, Virginia Cavaliers, and Virginia Tech Hokies.
Jackson’s commitment is huge for Georgia Tech, and not just because it’s their first from the 2014 class.
He was quite high on the Yellow Jackets’ list and they won him over some good programs such as: Georgia, Alabama, and Ole Miss.
When it comes to his game, Jackson loves to work around the rim, but can also shoot a pretty good jump shot.
His “go to” move when finishing at the rim would be his two-handed slam. However, he can also finish strong with one hand as well as with some finesse by laying the ball up to the rim.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 5th in the state of Georgia, 18th among point guards, and 77th among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
