Arkansas Football Recruiting: Johnnie Dixon Visits Razorbacks

The Arkansas Razorbacks hosted one of the Top 20 recruits from the state of Florida as 2014 Johnnie Dixon made the trip from Florida to Arkansas on Friday. On top of being a Top 20 Florida recruit, Dixon is also a Top 25 wide receiver.

Dixon has received plenty of notable offer, but is heavily interested in the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Miami Hurricanes.

The Razorbacks have some interest from Dixon, but not a lot. They are on the outside looking in when it comes to his recruitment.

When it comes to Dixon’s unofficial top three schools, 92% of the recruiting experts on the 247Sports Crystal Ball are predicting that the Palm Beach Gardens WR will stay in-state to play with Miami (FL).

Johnnie Dixon is currently a top WR talent in the Class of 2014. He has speed, agility, good hands, route running ability, and the ability to change directions. His only “weakness” is his size. At 5’10″, 187 pounds, Dixon is one of the smaller wide receivers from the Class of 2014.

In 2012, Dixon recorded 610 receiving yards on 33 receptions and six receiving touchdowns. He also had 94 rushing yards on six carries.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 20th in the state of Florida, 24th among wide receivers, and 155th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
