The Nebraka Cornhuskers are doing more than just hosting the UCLA Bruins today. The team is also hosting some recruits as 2014 defensive tackle Ricky Walker and 2014 running back Madre London are officially visiting the Cornhuskers on Saturday.
Both Walker and London are both heavily interested in five teams.
For London, the Cornhuskers are at the top of the list along with the Michigan State Spartans.
The Fort Lauderdale running back is also heavily interested in the Wisconsin Badgers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Virginia Cavaliers.
When it comes to Ricky Walker, it’s a different story for the Huskers.
Right now, Nebraska is on the outside looking in as the Hampton defensive tackle is heavily interested in the Virginia Tech Hokies, North Carolina Tar Heels, Penn State Nittany Lions, Pittsburgh Panthers, and South Carolina Gamecocks.
Right now, the recruiting experts are predicting the London will commit to the Huskers, but Walker is a completely different story.
All 20 experts are predicting London to be a Husker commit while 83% of the experts are predicting Walker to give his verbal to the VT Hokies.
Walker would be a huge pickup for Nebraska (more so than London). Ricky Walker might not have the best size for the DT position, but he has an amazing first step and is explosive, quick in the hands, athletic, and contains a decent motor.
London would also be a nice pickup for Nebraska. As a junior in 2012, London recorded 430 rushing yards on 84 carries and five rushing touchdowns. He also runs a 4.56 40-yard dash (Source: 247 Sports).
Walker is currently ranked 10th in the state of Virginia and 22nd among defensive tackles by 247Sports.
London is currently ranked 195th in the state of Florida and 102nd among running backs by 247Sports.
