Oregon Football Recruiting: Ducks Host Jalen Brown

2014 wide receiver Jalen Brown is one of the more highly-coveted recruits from the state of Arizona, and the Oregon Ducks had a chance to impress the four-star receiver during an official visit on Friday. Brown is among the top 10 Arizona recruits from the 2014 class.

Brown has received a ton of notable offers, but is heavily interested in the Vanderbilt Commodores, Ohio State Buckeyes, Wisconsin Badgers, Oregon Ducks, and Oregon State Beavers.

Right now, Vandy and Wisconsin are the two predicted favorites to land the Arizona prospect.

50% of the recruiting experts on the 247Sports Crystal Ball are predicting Brown to commit to the Commodores while 25% are predicting Wisconsin (other 25% says Arizona).

Jalen Brown is a very skilled wide receiver and has very good hands as well as ball skills. Brown’s ball skills are so good that he can locate and catch the ball by extending his arms and can sometimes locate the ball during the middle of a jump.

On top of his hands and ball skills, Jalen Brown is also quite agile. This agility can been seen in his juke moves.

His top end speed might not be the fastest of the receivers in the 2014 class, however, the Phoenix native’s juke moves are among the quickest in the class.

Brown will visit Wisconsin next weekend and has more visits scheduled with Ohio State and Vanderbilt.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 7th in the state of Arizona, 28th among wide receivers, and 232th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
