After naming his top two in late September, 2014 power forward Khadeem Lattin decided to make his decision and commit to the Oklahoma Sooners on Thursday.
Since his top two announce on September 26th, many fans of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns have been waiting to see if the 13th best PF would give their team his verbal commitment.
Khadeem Lattin’s commitment shouldn’t come as a surprise to many people. This is because all eight of the recruiting experts on the 247Sports Crystal Ball predicted that the “Crimson and Cream” would be the ones to land his commitment.
At 6’9″, 197 pounds, Lattin shows great size at the power forward position. He also is very athletic , a great defender, and contains a high motor.
He is able to contribute on the boards, but isn’t the best scorer from the 2014 class. The biggest skills Lattin will need to develop at the next level will be his scoring from both the high and low post as well as his overall passing.
Lattin’s commitment is No. 2 overall for the Sooners as he joins center Jamuni McNwace (committed on October 16th).
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 13th among power forwards and 65th among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
