The 2015 college football recruiting class may lack a true standout, sure-thing No. 1 overall prospect. But what it does feature is tremendous talent depth, as well as an abundance of coveted blue-chip prospects.

Players like DE Josh Sweat, LB Malik Jefferson, DT Trent Thompson and CB Kevin Toliver II have all become nationally known names before their senior year of high school. They are just a few of the number of elite blue-chip prospects in the 2015 class who are being chased by some of college football’s most powerful and prestigious programs.

With many now questioning just how strong football will remain for the future, especially given the ever-growing concerns about young teenage players and concussions, the sport does at least look like it has solid short-term future, thanks in large part to the intrigue and excitement surrounding the 2015 recruiting class.

There are plenty of talented prospects who are in need of praise, but there are only a select few that can truly be considered the best of the best.
